WARP! Mac OS
I read an article that implied a desktop (Mac/Windows) version of the Warp app could be available in the future. Does anyone know much about this? It seems like it would be nice to have the “VPN” function of the mobile app working automatically on the desktop.
Cloudflare announced today the launch of its WARP VPN service on macOS and Windows, starting with a beta version. And in the coming months, the company will also introduce a desktop client for WARP+.
The beta is rolling out first to WARP+ users who are subscribed to Cloudflare's Argo network. A notification will be sent out to them over the coming weeks through the 1.1.1.1 app to try the new WARP for macOS and Windows clients.

WARP was initially launched as an option within the 1.1.1.1 app for iOS and Android early last year to offer both improved speeds and more security to your internet traffic by encrypting the data you send and receive from your phone. Cloudflare noted that users have been requesting a desktop version of the service over the past year and that it also wanted to build a WARP client for macOS and Windows.
- Today, the company announced in a blog post that it’s bringing WARP to macOS and Windows in beta. “While we announced the beta of 1.1.1.1 with WARP on April 1, 2019 it took us until late September.

Warp Mac Os Update
Like its mobile apps, the desktop version of WARP is developed based on the same Wireguard protocol and its basic version will also be available for free. In the future, Cloudflare will introduce a discounted plan option for existing WARP+ subscribers to add additional devices. If you're not a subscriber, you can sign up here to receive a notification when the service goes live.
